With all the publicity gay-marriage has been getting lately, I'm surprised I hadn't heard more about this debate. As of today, The Supreme Court of Utah lifted the stay on allowing same-sex couples to adopt children. This is another huge step for Utah in legal rights. I think it is awesome we have been able to accept gay marriage as a legal marriage, and now they can legally be parents, too! So awesome. I hope things can keep moving in this direction, so that everyone can share the same rights.
I agree with this. Although I don't believe in gay marriage it doesn't mean that others shouldn't have the right. We live in a country that is based on freedom. This means everyone is able to make their own choices. They aren't asking me to change my believes, they just want to be able to believe what they want.

That makes me happy, as well, and I totally agree that everyone should be able to share the same rights. To be honest, it's hard for me to believe that this wasn't legal before. Have we really been so backward for so long? I mean, all personal and/or religious beliefs aside, of course everyone should have the right to a legal marriage and adoption. Developments like this always make me wonder why these things weren't legal before... But I guess we all have personal views that affect our voting decisions, whether we support gay marriage or not.
