In Michigan, a chemistry teacher was reportedly fired after becoming pregnant. The catch? Shes lesbian.
Isn't it illegal to fire someone for becoming pregnant? Even if this is a Catholic School, they shouldn't be able to fire someone for things such as this. Was her pregnancy hurting anyone? No. Was her same-sex attraction hurting anyone? No. Was them firing her, hurting anyone? Yes; her. She has lost that source of income, and pretty soon she's going to have an extra mouth to be feeding.
Why would anyone think this was okay?
Well, there is a lot of unanswered questions. How did she get pregnant? Was the school aware of her sexual orientation when they hired her? If they did it would be an unconstitutional act do do.
